Cherice Poole

Licensed Clinical Social Worker

I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Grambling State University and a Master of Science degree in Social Work from University of Texas @ Arlington. I have been in the mental health field for 6 years and gained experience with domestic violence, Mood and Anxiety Disorders, grief, adjustment issues, trauma (abuse & neglect), parent-child conflict, anger management, relationship issues, conflict resolution, substance abuse, and crisis intervention. I have worked with children, adults, and families. Withholding a passion in mental health I believe it is my purpose to help others gain the tools to function better in life. My passion was sparked by an interest in understanding human behavior and the mind. This later developed into having a more holistic perspective to not only look at mental factors but spiritual, physical, family, and more. My approach to therapy derives from a wide range of techniques but mainly Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Solution Focused therapy often with a touch of ‘tough love’.
